June is just around the corner and it is one of the busiest months

The Ojai Music Festival will be producing its 67th Festival from June 6 –June 9. Think there’s only music? Think again. As has been the custom for a few years, there will be symposia, and this year there will be film and dance, and a great number of public participation events at many venues about town. Sunday, June 9 from noon to 4:00 p.m., the Rotary Club of Ojai –West will take over that section of Lake Casitas for their 27th Annual Ojai Wine Festival. Again this year there will be a lakeside VIP Lounge, live bands, free boat rides, many of Ojai’s best restaurants will be there purveying their fares , and of course over 60 wineries and 20 Premium Micro Brews will have representation. Wednesday morning June 19, at 7:00 a.m., early risers will have the opportunity to hear Ojai City Manager Rob Clark and Ojai Unified School District Superintendent Hank Bangser present their 3rd Annual State of the City/State of Education. Once again we’ll be at the Soule Park Golf Course banquet room. Admission is $15 advance (until June 17 at 4:00 p.m.) and $20 “at the door”. Sponsorships are available for $125 and include two tickets to the event, banner display privileges and company name on all promotional material. Each speaker will have time at the end of his presentation for Q/A. Doors open at 7:00 a.m.; buffet breakfast available at 7:15 and the program begins at 7:30.
